Company Rules

At Sincerely Theirs, we take pride in providing high-quality custom writing services to our customers. In order to maintain our standards, we have established certain rules and policies that must be followed when placing an order.

1. Research Fees: Please be aware that if you do not pay the Research Fee for an unlisted fandom, your order will not be completed and you will not be offered a refund. Similarly, if you purchase a research fee prior to asking us if we cover your fandom, we are unable to offer you a refund.

2. Age Limits: If you order a Romantic order from a character who is portrayed by a minor and you are 18+, you will not receive an order or a refund. Feel free to email us to check if your character violates this or not. Animated media is more of a grey area when it comes to this, and we are usually happy to age up minors from animes so long as they are not canonically portrayed as being very infantile. In addition, if a character starts as being a child in the show, but eventually ages up this is fine (Attack on Titan characters or Percy Jackson characters, for example). 
   Example of okay characters to age up: Yuji Itadori (JJK), Zuko (ATLA), Adrien Agreste (Miraculous), Ymir (Attack on Titan), XO Kitty Characters (Cast is all above 18+ despite portraying high schoolers).
   Examples of characters that violate our policy even if you request to age them up: Anya Forger (SpyxFamily), Number Five (Umbrella Academy), Stranger Things kids during early seasons (however, later seasons are considered fine). 
   On the flip side, if you order something romantic while being under 16, we will not take the order and will either be issuing a refund or switching your order to be platonic so you may still receive it.

3. NSFW Orders: We do not write NSFW letters, however, we'll happily do NSFW One Shots. We just ask that you email us to ensure that we have an 18+ writer for your desired fandom/character. If you don't do this, we may be forced to make your order SFW. 

4. Abusive Characters: We reserve the right to deny any order if the requested character is deemed abusive in domestic, sexual, and discriminatory contexts. On that same note, we are happy to write for most villains as long as they do not canonically cross those lines. It's very rare that we will consider a character to be abusive, so please email us if you are concerned your character might be.

5. Triggering Subjects: Trigger Warnings must be included if you are mentioning sensitive subjects in your form. This is to ensure that none of our writers are subjected to a topic that could be triggering or upsetting for them. Please respect this policy.

6. Real People Orders: We do not complete written orders from celebrities, stage personas, historical figures, or any other real person. Orders that have been submitted for this purpose will not be completed nor refunded. The only exception to this rule is if the desired person has been fictionalized (ex. Hamilton, Rocketman, Bohemian Rhapsody). 

7. Privacy Standards: We reserve the right to refuse any orders that involve inappropriate or sensitive content, including but not limited to the mention of real individuals in contexts that are not deemed appropriate by our team. We do not tolerate the mention of real minors in orders under any circumstances, lest they be your own children or siblings. We do not tolerate bullying real people in orders either (abusive parents excluded). If you are unsure if something you want to discuss in your order violates this, please contact us to be sure or risk not receiving your order or a refund.

8. Religious Orders: We will not complete written orders from any religious figures. This includes figures from Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Paganism, Hellenism, and any other religion. The only occasional exception to this rule is if the desired figure has been characterized in a fandom (ex. Greek Gods in Percy Jackson). We do not always allow this, so please message us to verify before placing an order. 

9. Late Order Forms: Please note that if order forms are completed late in reference to when they were purchased, your order may be sent out late.
